I purchased three Discus fish about a week ago and one died this morning. It started to swim erratically in circles real fast then he became lethargic and laying and swimming on its side. I don't know what this was or how to treat. Can anyone help? Hi. Is this the first time you have has Discus? They can be really hard to keep alive in the beginning. The first thing I would check would be the water levels and quality. Are you keeping them in RO water? If not when you got them what type of water were they in. The best thing to start with is doing a half water change everyday. More often if you can. Do you have them in a tank on there own. If not if you can move to a quarantine tank. If they do have something hopefully it will stop it spreading to the other fish...but what I have found in the beginning is if things are not rite they will just give up. There are chemicals to use but not seeing the fish I wouldn't want to advice you. Move to tank were they are alone. Do the water changes. And call the person you got them from. Ask their advice. I hope all goes well. Alyson
